Two countries have tied for first place with the best climate on earth in this year’s Quality of Life Index, published last week in International Livingmagazine.  

Fifty tourist destinations have been selected for their attractiveness to visitors interested in nature and cultural heritage, environment and sustainability. 

A new book from Frommers includes Malta in the top ten out of 500 extraordinary islands one would most want to visit –or perhaps stay on forever!  The  500 islands themselves were shortlisted from thousands.  

Maltese property prices increased 9.7% in the year ending the third quarter this year, according to the third quarter index released today by estate agency Knight Frank. This was enough to rank Malta in 3rd place in the global league…

With 96 points out of 100, the Mediterranean islands of Malta and Gozo received the top score in the Climate category of Internationl Living’s Annual Retirement Index (released Sep 2009).   

Gozo has been chosen as one of the top ten destinations among the Southern Europe top 50.
