I have never been so impressed with a firm's service, David and Fiona certainly went way beyond the remit of an estate agent. Having decided to sell my much-loved family holiday home, due to the difficulties Covid had made to travel from the UK, David and Fiona were recommended to us by trusted friends. David and I spoke, he outlined their marketing strategy, and I was happy to sign the contract instructing move2Gozo. He quickly went about marketing it and negotiating its sale. That was the easy part, because I was stuck in the UK, he organised the clearance of the house, all the contents the buyers didn't want, donating them to local charities etc. Even emptying the food cupboards and freeze. Nothing was a problem for David and he constantly kept me updated and liaised with the notary on our behalf. Even down to paying the sale proceeds into my account. I honestly cannot express my gratitude enough, David and Fiona are trustworthy, dependable, genuine, honest people, and so focused on their clients objectives. We could not have made a better choice in selling our holiday home in Gozo. David showed flexibility and judgement at every stage from contract negotiations to dealing with permits and regularisation of planning issues, in what turned out to be quite a long process lasting over 6 months. As each small issue manifested itself, David had a ready answer to hand, or knew who could help. As a result, we needed to make only one short visit to Gozo from UK during this time, and, using emails and WhatsApp, were quickly able to contact David, listen to his advice and give any instructions needed. Moving from another country to Gozo during the Covid-19 pandemic only compounded the pressure I placed on David and Fiona. Since I had arranged only temporary accommodation in Gozo, I wanted to buy a house and move-in posthaste. David and Fiona were exceptional!! They found the perfect house for me and then arranged and worked with a notary and the planning authorities to fast-forward the buying process. This, along with a myriad other details and obstacles that they skilfully managed, meant that in less than two months I was unpacking and settling into my new home. The "more“ part is the thoughtfulness and graciousness with which they did everything regardless of how burdensome or inconvenient it was. My gratitude is unending.

David is a particularly talented photographer and can be trusted to squeeze every best angle and view of each property. From a seller's perspective David and Fiona use their extensive internet resources to attract customers who mostly have a clear and definable desire to move to Gozo; they are not randomly trawling the local market for potential buyers. The move2Gozo business aim seems to be to attract initial buyer or seller interest, and then to cultivate a friendly atmosphere which hopefully will lead to a viewing and a potential sale or purchase. The real estate industry requires the estate agent to have a professional, sensitive and locally knowledgeable approach to both seller and buyer; David and Fiona succeed here where many local estate agents have failed. As UK 'expats' we would strongly recommend move2Gozo to perform as an estate agent to any customer who wishes to sell or buy property on Gozo. When we decided to purchase a property on Gozo, we chose a local Estate Agency which understands the intricacies of this island, which is of utmost importance. The viewings were well organised and also included a glimpse of the local environment for each of them which helped to put things in perspective. After selecting a property, David and Fiona took us by the hand not only through the meanderings of the law and the finances in theory, but actually helped us find the right persons to proceed. Consequently, the whole process was painless and efficient. It is also worth mentioning that after the purchase David and Fiona continued helping or advising, whenever asked, when refurbishing or replacing was necessary, even if they had absolutely no obligation to do so.
